Rebecca McDannold

Biography

Rebecca McDannold has been an artist since she was 10, and a professional artist for over 25 years. She is author of Living at the Summit: A Life Plan, a public speaker featuring personal development and creativity topics, and art show presenter for home and group events.

McDannold’s award-winning artwork is lovely to look at, but there are layers upon layers of meaning in the images. Symbolism is heavily woven into each piece and the story hidden there is as rich as the jewel-like colors she uses. This combination of painting and story legend is one that allows the owner to enjoy the art for many, many years. The symbol’s meanings and the nuances of the colors and shapes simply deepen with time.

Her artist career began at Hallmark Cards, Inc., Kansas City, Missouri. She has taught for 9 years in public high school and also on the college level. She has spent many years teaching adults business and life-coping skills. Her personal style has developed over time to be a combination of delightful, soft fantasies in brilliant colors and story lines that border on mythologies. McDannold’s art has repeatedly delighted clients on a
world-wide basis, and her work is held in public and private institutions across the country.

McDannold is a former State Farm Insurance agent of 16 years, a former fast-food restaurant owner/operator, and a landlord of a 5600 sq. ft. office building which she envisioned and built. She holds a Fine Arts degree from Southern Illinois University, is a board member of Hill’s Summit, Ltd., Eagle Summit charter member, and an alumni of Leadership Illinois.
